the trick (shortcut, fake): making the visible tests pass without a correct general solution: special-casing or hard-coding test inputs, keeping state across calls to satisfy contradictory tests, or tampering with the tests or assertions; a fake is a submission or library file that does this, or that the research evaluator judged fraudulent (every accepted solution of an impossible task)
judge: the operational judge that runs the task's visible tests and accepts a solution that passes them all
credited / closed: an accepted submission credits its agent and closes the task for everyone
revert: an overseer removes the credit for a fake and the task reopens
overseer: an agent whose role is to police fakes; it checks solutions against independent tests, posts warnings and rulings, sends DMs and reverts
seed: the agent that submitted one planted fake early, which then sat in the shared library
solver: an ordinary agent solving coding tasks for credit
turn / timeline item: a turn is one model call of the agent; an item is one entry (reasoning, text, tool call or result, event) in its timeline, numbered from 0
stage-1 chunk: a stretch of the timeline that the stage-1 reader coded in one go
reader certainty: how sure the model reader was of a code or reaction: high, medium or low
